Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2021

«Actions speak louder than words!»

In 2020, iSAM AG did not give any Christmas gifts to customers, business partners and employees. We received such positive feedback last year from our decision to donate to charity in lieu of offering our customers Christmas gifts that we have decided to continue the practice this year.

Therefore, we say thank you on behalf of the charities and Merry Christmas!

We support the ecclesiastical social welfare organisation Diakoniewerk Arbeit & Kultur in Mülheim an der Ruhr for the Mülheimer Tafel. The Mülheimer Tafel supplies fresh fruit and bakery products to schools for a „Breakfast at School“ and so allows children who do not get breakfast before leaving home to learn without being hungry.

Furthermore, the Child Advocacy Center in Mobile, Alabama received a financial contribution. The mission of the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is to be the Mobile community response to the problem of child abuse. Abused children are interviewed here by a specialized, trained team of professionals. Children and their non-offending family members are referred for counseling and prepared for the criminal justice process. Also provided are educational and training programs in child abuse awareness and prevention.

In Australia, we support the Bushfire Recovery from last summer’s fires which lead to the largest single loss of wildlife in modern history. Many struggling Australian species have now been pushed even further towards the brink of extinction.

The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary was opened in 1927 as a safe refuge for sick, injured, and orphaned koalas, at a time when the species was being culled for the fur trade. Today, Lone Pine is the world’s oldest and largest koala sanctuary and remains as a destination for local and international guests to not only see native Australian animals, but to also connect and learn, and to leave feeling inspired to make small, positive changes in their daily lives to help protect their own native wildlife and habitats. The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary opened their new world-class koala science and research facility, the Brisbane Koala Science Institute, in 2018. The facility is home to two full-time research staff, a research laboratory, and a ‘Koala Biobank’ (koala genetic depository). Through joint projects with universities and other research establishments, the Institute will be working towards real, practical outcomes for local koala populations.

Furthermore, we support the WWF Bushfire Recovery program to

– provide care and treatment for injured wildlife

– restore forests and damaged habitats

– stop further deforestation, driven by the “Towards Two Billion Trees’” program

– future-proof Australia by long-term security and climate preparedness for people and nature

We would like to thank all customers, business partners and employees. Without them, these charity actions would not have been possible.
